Sylvia Marshall legacy
As many Friends know, Sylvia Marshall generously left a legacy to Central Edinburgh Quaker Meeting. A number of members of the Meeting have made general suggestions as to how the legacy might be spent, and the discernment group set up to take the matter forward is now asking for specific proposals. An application form, together with more information, can be found here.
We hope as many people as possible - individuals and groups - will apply, whether for small sums to support them in learning more about Quakerism, or for activities for our children's meeting, or larger sums for the improvement of our Meeting House, to give but three examples. The legacy group needs to know what the Meeting as a whole needs and sees as particularly important, and wants you both to think about ways in which the money can benefit you and everyone else in the Meeting - and to put in an application.
