Area Meetings

Until 8 November 2025 each Local Quaker Meeting in Scotland belonged to one of four Area Meetings. Three of these have now passed their charitable and formal Quaker responsibilities to the new charity Quakers in Scotland (QiS). The Area Meeting webpages for these meeting remain as an interim archive. They show previous activities and minutes, but future activities and records will be found via the QiS page of this website.

AREA MEETINGS FULLY MOVED TO QUAKERS IN SCOTLAND

CONTINUING AS A SEPARATE AREA MEETING

For SESAM Friends their formal membership of the Society of Friends in Britain is still via SESAM. However members of SESAM are also members of QiS* as it has taken on the Scotland-wide roles formally associated with General Meeting for Scotland.

*In order for Friends who are members of an AM  in Scotland to join QiS they must agree to General Meeting or their AM passing on their details to the new charity. The simplest way to do this is to email the QiS administrator at admin [at] quaker.scot - or by post, details at Contact us
