We have responded to the Scottish Government’s consultation on the Draft Fourth National Planning Framework (NPF4) from our convictions as Quakers. “We do not own the world and its riches are not ours to dispose of at will. Show a loving consideration for all creatures, and seek to maintain the beauty and variety of the world. Work to ensure that our increasing power over nature is used responsibly, with reverence for life” (Advices and Queries 42).
The NPF4 naturally impinges upon many aspects of society. As Quakers, we have focussed our response on the climate and ecology crises, economic justice and land reform. The response in full is in a pdf which you can read on the PEWG pages of this site, on Climate Emergency and Economic Justice.
