Arran Quaker Meeting

Meeting for Worship: Takes place on the second and fourth Sunday in the month. On the second Sunday of each month we meet in the library in Brodick at 11a.m. and on the fourth sunday we meet in Friends' homes. When there is a fifth sunday in the month we get together for a discussion group. On the fourth sunday in July (July 25) we are meeting at the home of Steph Hill (830210), 2, The Lodge Lochranza. For more information please phone 01770-302 779 (Jeny Faulkner. ) or )1770- 830622 (Tessa Smith). Visitors are very welcome.

Arran is the largest island in the Firth of Clyde. The ferry (an hour's crossing) sails from Ardrossan on the Ayshire coast into Brodick Bay, below the mountain called Goatfell.

There are a number of  Quakers scattered around Arran at present, and in 2004 Arran meeting became a worshiping group rather than a nominated meeting. Officially we are a part of Ayrshire meeting and the two groups have regular and close contact.
